Safe return: Police rescue three kidnapped people

Three people were kidnapped last week from Naseer Khan Bhangar village in Garhi Hasan near Thull.

SUKKUR: Three people who were kidnapped last week from Naseer Khan Bhangar village in Garhi Hasan near Thull were rescued on Saturday.

After receiving an anonymous tip, a police contingent led by Thull DSP Ghulam Murtaza Mirani, raided an area in Pat Feeder near the Sindh-Balochistan border. An encounter between the police and the kidnappers took place but no one was injured. The kidnappers, however, managed to escape.

Fire officials, Shafi Mohammad Golo, Shah Ali Lashari, Hidayatullah Bhangar and his eight-year-old son were kidnapped on their way to a house where a fire had broken out.
