Supply to be suspended: TESCO asks govt to clear Rs816m arrears

Tesco has Rs760.465 million arrears against thirteen major govt departments in Fata and K-P as of April 2012.

The Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company (Tesco) has issued notices to various government departments in Fata to clear dues amounting to Rs816.35 million by June 30, 2012.


According to a press release issued Tuesday, Tesco has Rs760.465 million arrears against thirteen major govt departments in Fata and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) as of April 2012.

Out of total arrears, Rs32.71 million are pending against Cadet College Razmak; Rs45.46 million against the Fata Development Corporation; Rs35.32 million against the Garrison Engineers Army , Rs43.73 million  against Militia Scouts, Rs46.77 million against thFrontier Corps and Rs51.91 million against political agents in Fata.

Similarly, Rs34.52 million are outstanding against education, Rs35.32 million against health, Rs100.66 million against work and services, while the rest Rs284.81m against water management, Frontier Constabulary, and agriculture department of K-P.
