FAISALABAD: The inquiry report into the death of three children, following vaccination at the Allied Hospital on Sunday, has held the Health Department official who administered the vaccine and the doctors in charge responsible for the mishap.
The report, completed on Tuesday, stated that the deaths took place due to the negligence of the aforementioned personnel. The report said that the vaccines used were safe, adding that they had not expired.
Nasim Sadiq, the Faisalabad district coordinator officer (DCO), chaired a meeting of the inquiry committee at the Allied Hospital in which the findings were disclosed. The meeting was attended by Dr Rasheed Ahmed, the EDO (Health), Dr Khurram Raja and Dr Tahir Mujahid.
Earlier, Dr Rasheed Ahmed, the EDO (Health), talking to The Express Tribune on Monday, said that the woman who had administered the vaccines had no prior training about administering vaccinations.
