QUETTA:

Imtiaz Rasool, the chief warden at the district jail, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Saturday. According to the police, Rasool was attacked by two men on a motorcycle near the prison facility.

The miscreants fled from the scene after committing the crime. Rasool’s body was shifted to the provincial Sandeman hospital for autopsy. “It can be a case of target killing,” said police official Mohammad Aslam.

Meanwhile, the bullet riddled body of a missing person was found near a bus stand in Khuzdar district on Saturday.

According to police sources, some passersby spotted the body and informed the nearby police station.  The person was identified as Abdul Qudus, son of Abdul Wahab. He went missing on July 21, 2012, from the Arbab Complex area of Khuzdar.
