MOU: Islamia University to get new block

BAHAWALPUR: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) on Saturday signed an MoU with the National Information Communication Technology Research and Development Fund to establish an Information Communication Technology (ICT) Block at its Abbasia Campus. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had promised funds for the new block while speaking at the convocation in March. IUB Vice Chancellor Professor Mohammad Mukhtar and ICT Research and Development Chief Financial Officer Asim Butt signed the agreement. Dr Mukhtar said that ICT will also help the university connect to the world.
