KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee has hit out at law enforcement officials for not effectively dealing with the killings of its workers in Karachi.

In a statement, the committee said that the party was dealing with the situation in a restrained manner for the sake of peace in the city but questioned why the police and other law enforcement agencies were just silently witnessing the situation. The Coordination Committee also noted that Karachi had been left at the mercy of criminals and terrorists.

The party says six of its workers, including a former councilor, have been killed in the past four days.
