Education For All: Seminar highlights value of education

UNESCO’ representative to Pakistan says, K-P was the first province to prepare the Education for All plan in 2003.

PESHAWAR: A seminar for Early Childhood Education (ECE) was held on Wednesday. Experts highlighted the importance of ECE. They also discussed the hurdles in improving the literacy rate. Provincial Education Minister, Sardar Babak Hussain said that indicators of education are not encouraging in the province. Dr Kozue Kay Nagata, UNESCO’ representative to Pakistan said, that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) was the first province to prepare the Education for All (ETA), plan in 2003. Highlighting the role of Early Childhood Education (ECE) she said that the people of K-P are very talented.Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Secretary Mushtaq Jadoon and representatives of international agencies were also present at the seminar.
