Tennis: Aqeel, Yasir move in quarters

KARACHI: Top-seeds Aqeel Khan and Yasir Khan moved into the men’s singles quarter-finals of the Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Association National Grasscourt Championship. Aqeel defeated Mohammad Shahzad 6-2, 6-2, while Yasir outplayed Zakirullah 6-2, 6-2. Mohammad Abid thrashed Inamullah 6-2, 6-3,  Shahid Afridi upset fifth-seed Ahmed Chaudhry 6-3, 6-4,  Ahmed Babar defeated Irfanullah 6-4, 6-3 and Usman Rafiq also booked a place in the last-eight after beating Gibranul Haq 6-2, 6-2. The tournament features 150 players with Rs40,000 prize-money for the winner.
