Budget 2013: Sharif declares provincial budget to be people-friendly

Comprehensive measures will be taken under the ADP 2012-13 to the welfare of students, women as well as labourers

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that special emphasis will be laid on poverty alleviation, generation of job opportunities and promotion of investment in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) of the new budget.


Addressing a meeting on Monday regarding provincial budget for the fiscal year 2012-13, he said that comprehensive measures will be taken under the ADP 2012-13 to the welfare of students, women as well as labourers, development of agri-economy and promotion of industrial and trade activities.

The chief minister said substantial funds would be provided for the purpose and the ADP will be reflective of public service.
