According to a senior police officer, Mohammad Tahir and Mohmmad Qadir had come to the office for passport-related work and were attacked outside the main gate of the office at around 7:15am. The assailants immediately fled the scene.
“Both the brothers were killed on the spot and another man of the Hazara community received bullet wounds,” the police confirmed.
The bodies and injured were taken to the provincial Sandeman Hospital, where stringent security measures were adopted to thwart possible attempt of terrorism.
The injured Manzoor Ali was later referred to the Combine Military Hospital (CMH) due to security reasons, sources at the hospital said.
“It was a sectarian killing,” another senior investigation officer added.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the killings till the filing of this report.
It is pertinent to mention here that around 28 people of Hazara community were killed this year. Some police officers investigating the sectarian killings were also killed in Quetta during the past week.
On the other hand, some Sunni religious scholars have also fallen victim to targeted attacks in the provincial capital and religious parties believe that some elements are trying to instigate sectarian violence in Balochistan.

If you do not stop the spread of cancer in the early stage, it will become unstoppable. Today if you do not care about the death of innocent Hazaras, tomorrow no one cares about you..
@Fatima: I am sorry I hurt your feelings....
@Fatima: Sister, 90% of the Punjabis don't even know what is happening in Balochistan and why it is happening. I am a Pashtun but I go to Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad often for business purposes. And contrary to popular belief most are poor and are only concerned with making a living and educating their children. The status of the poor in Punjabi cities and here in KPK is not very different. Only difference I saw was in Islamabad. And by the way have you interviewed every single Punjabi? How do you know "ALL" Punjabis are against Balochistan? They can't even locate it on a map of Pakistan.
Shame on Pakistani nation's apathy - this fanatic group will not stop here - their next target will be their own Sunni groups who they feel is not practicing the right kind of Islam. It's the responsibility of the majority l To wake up and raise their voices against killings of their fellow Shia countryman.
Why are all the Punjabi's against Baluchistan? If you cannot handle it and the baloch people, why bother reading these kinds of articles when you cannot control your emotions? Live and Let Live. Stop hating on the baloch. Get over yourselves.
When a person is killed, the story does not end with his death. His children lose their father. His wife loses her husband. His siblings lose their brother and his parents lose their son. Whenever I think of death, the first question that comes to my mind is the well being of my loved ones and not myself. Down with TTP, LeJ, BLA, BLF, BRA, JeM, and all others who kill fellow humans!
Enough is enough!
@Hassan: Hassan Saheb ! This is a desperate effort to forge unity of the country in the face of divisive and imploding trends. We may say ,staying as one is an effort to keep one currency ,to uphold the national debt paper and give fiscal measures some credibility. These things do matter for the poor but matter the most for the rich .The more we move away from US financial support the more we need these extreme remedies. Blame it on depression if you want. We are forced to pay social price for economic decline. Look at the material basis of our life. The flags, the holy wars , the long beards and the blasts are only to herd in the poor. A country born in violence pulls along devouring itself in parts.
What makes me uncomfortable is the lack of sympathy among sunnis towards shias on such events, it looks that they don't care much, Sunni leaders don't openly condemn Taliba for such barabric crimes (forget religious people, I am talking about people like Imran khan, Nawaz etc) so what shias do, demand a separate state? then Sunnis will start caring?
Dr Israr Ahmed wrote in his book “If we won’t get serious on this issue now and if we couldn’t achieve shia sunni unity here in this country then God forbid our country Pakistan will break in to pieces, then it won’t belong to shia or sunni”
the victim Mohammad Tahir was a very small boy only 15/6 years old, He was killed because they looked Hazaras mangoliete face without any sin.
Sorry to say, the militant groups are assets / strategic depth of Pakistani state / Army. Allah Aab Hazaras par Rehm Kara.
They were recognised because of their Hazara origin but they were murdered because they were Shia. Buses that take pilgrims to Iran are also being targeted. People who has hint of shia names on their Id cards are killed and others let go in a past incident. All this targeted killing of shias is going around and government, supreme court, and security agencies DONT TAKE NOTICE.
Known killers but no action. Each one of us will have to respond to Almight on the day of judgement of remaining quiet on these crimes / cruel acts.
An other brutal act of target killing. And as always the Pakistani government is silent on Hazara
s killing so is the Human Right Activist . to be honest right now I am filling ashamed of being Pakistani and PPPP
s voter . the truth is that the international game that is played in Baluchistan Hazaras are the prime victim of this brutal killings and unfortunately some how the Pakistani Law enforcement Agencies and Government is silent and not taking any action , which is quite shocking for all Hazara
s around the world and for all Pakistani nation. people say that there is a big game being played in Baluchistan but don`t know how ISI MI FIA CID and several other agencies are unable to maintain peace in the Reagan.absolutely terrible state of affairs. There must be some way to give protection to this community which is under repeated attacks. All maulanas of different sects must condone intersect violence (and all violence actually).
This is how monster grows, starting from the most oppressed and then perching on stronger one and then the most poweful. people in power, get ready, it will be knocking at your doors shortly. It is punishment for not stopping the monster when it was targetting the poor and oppressed people in your society.
I can't rid of thinking;
The people of one sect are being murdered on daily basis across the Pakistan, from Parachinar to Quetta, from Gilgit Baltistan to Karachi. And government and law enforcing authorities are silent. Even media, judiciary and civil society is silent too.
shame on bla terrorists
Pathetic reporting by Express News. Hazaras are Shias and they are being killed purely because of that by the lunatic fringe of religious extremists comprising the Lashkar e Jhangvi(LeJ). Why don't such details get a specific mention? Why does the normally sensationalist electronic media goes dead decent on such issues and doesn't even name the culprits who have proudly owned such incidents in the past?
@Saman: Muslims or Humans?
Hazaras look different from other Pakistanis, they can thus be targeted very easily,i feel sorry for them and ashamed of all of us.we all r cowards.and dont deserve to be called muslims.
@Babar:
Let me correct you Sir, again and again is not incompetence rather Govt, is party to this fiasco, am i right Sir?
Pathetic ... what is Balochistan Government doing? If an incident happens once it may be considered as a overlook by the autorities, sencond time it is negeliggence, third time is to be considerd as incometence, but if it has happened again .... this is criminal behaviour of the authorities. Shame on you, Bolachistan Government.
Pakistan is Progressing...
