Recording his statements at the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) office, Gilani said that at the time when the ephedrine quota was allegedly allotted, he was studying abroad and he had not called former director general health Dr Rasheed Jumma regarding the quota.
He further accused ANF Regional Director Brigadier Fahim Ahmed Khan of initiating a fake investigation against him.
Ali Gilani’s lawyer Fawad Chaudhry told the media that no evidence has emerged against his client in the case.
He has been named in the Supreme Court as the main accused in the multi-million-rupee ephedrine scandal.
