K-P Media Attack: Journalists condemn police assault
Journalist, cameraman were allegedly assaulted while covering a demonstration against loadshedding.
CHARSADDA:
Journalists Associations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) strongly condemned a police attack on journalists on Friday. Sher Ali Khan, correspondent for a news agency in Charsadda, along with a cameraman for private TV channel, Siraj Ali, were allegedly assaulted while covering a demonstration against loadshedding on Friday. The police snatched their cameras and tried to destroy their footage. Due to a brutal baton charge Sher Ali sustained severe head injuries and one of his fingers was broken. He has been admitted in District Headquarters Hospital, Charsada.
