Financial Aid: Army gives Rs1m to newspaper hawkers

SWAT: A cheque for Rs1 million was presented to the president of Swat Newspapers Hawkers’ Union by General Officer Commanding (GOC) Major General Ghulam Qamar at Khwazakhel Divisional Headquarters on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the GOC said Pakistan Army was taking every possible step for the welfare of poor people in Swat who have rendered great sacrifices for the country. The grant will be utilised for the purchase of bicycles for the hawkers.
