Fuel price adjustment: IHC restrains NEPRA from collection

ISLAMABAD: For the time being, electricity consumers will not have to pay Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) in their upcoming bills. Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday restrained National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) from collecting FPA from consumers retroactively from September 2011. The court sought replies from Nepra, Wapda and Iesco by the end of May. The petition, filed by Advocate Waqas Malik, said that Nepra was violating its own rules and previous court orders by collecting FPA.
