KARACHI: Punjab clinched the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Inter Provincial Youth Under-16 Girls Judo Championship with six gold medals and 90 points. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa finished second with three silver medals and 34 points. Islamabad ended third with one silver and 32 points while Balochistan bagged one silver and four bronze medals with 32 points as the championship concluded in Lahore yesterday. According to the Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) official, the championship was organised to promote the sport among teenagers. Meanwhile, Sindh were ruled out of the event after the Sindh Sports Board refused to send their team as the players could not practice for the event due to the security situation in Karachi.
