Development in FATA to continue: Zardari
“Meaningful political reforms in the Fata can only be achieved with the support of its people,” Zardari said during a meeting with Senators belonging to the Awami National Party (ANP) in Islamabad.
Discussing the current political situation, President Zardari said that the party would continue to move forward under the guidance of the constitution of the country and the policies laid down by its great leaders.
Spokesperson to the President, Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the current political situation in the country was discussed during the meeting with special reference to the latest developments, Fata reforms and the coalition partners.
Praising the coalition partners, Zardari said that the political wisdom and maturity shown by them in dealing with all challenges was commendable.
He thanked the ANP for its support to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and for its contributions towards political stability.

@Tribal Insafian: I suppose you to be a supporter of PTI. Given that, Imran Khan says that blowing of schools does not happen and it is a conspiracy of the government to demonize Taliban? No.

Dear Mr. President: If you are serious about "Development to continue in FATA"; please take back your words. We don't want the "development" going on for the last 4 years to CONTINUE. Some approximate figures of the development going on in FATA for the last 4 years (which the President vows to continue with) merit a mention here: 1) Nearly 600 schools, colleges (boys / girls) have been destroyed in the explosive "development". 2) Nearly 4 million people have become IDPs (almost every person of FATA has remained IDP at some time over the last four years) in the refugee "development". 3) Nearly 4000 people have been killed in drone attacks "development". 4) Another 5000-8000 have been killed in military operations "development". 5) Nearly 500 tribal elders have been killed in target killing "development" (IED / Suicide attacks etc). So, we humbly request your highness to abandon all plans of "development to continue in FATA" please. Thanks & with regards, Your mortal Subjects from Federally Administered (??) Tribal Areas.
