Cricket: All-round Rehman stars in win

Took two wickets to guide Northern Gymkhana to an 18-run win over Asghar Ali Shah CC.

KARACHI: Ziaur Rehman struck a century and took two wickets to guide Northern Gymkhana to an 18-run win over Asghar Ali Shah CC in their Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament match. Batting first, Gymkhana were all out for 220 in their allotted 40 overs as Zia top-scored with 106, an innings that included nine boundaries. Amir Rizwan took four wickets while Iqbal Butt bagged three. In reply, Ali Shah CC were all out for 202 in 38.3 overs. Sadiq Raza top-scored with 71 while Butt chipped in with 39. Waqas Haroon took three wickets. In another match, Mohammad Sadiq bagged a four-wicket haul and Abdul Khaliq scored 53 as Orangi Star CC beat Orangi United CC by seven wickets.
