Mechanism Strong: Mushahid vouches for nuclear safety

Says Pakistan has very effective, strong and transparent security and safety mechanism in place.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan never wants an arms race in the region and its nuclear programme is only to ensure its security and maintain  a strategic balance in the region, PML-Q Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said on Thursday. He was addressing the inaugural session of day-long seminar on “FMCT Problems and Prospects”, organised by Rabita Forum International. He said Pakistan has very effective, strong and transparent security and safety mechanism in place which has ensured the safety of its nuclear programme.
