Aid: Disaster-hit people to get houses

Chairman said that besides construction of 40 mosques all across the country

To provide shelter to the earthquake victims of Balakot and Garhi Habibullah, over 233 houses will be handed over to them by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent. 


This was stated by UAE Red Crescent Chairman Ahmed Humaid Al Mazroui at a press briefing here on Wednesday.

The chairman said that besides construction of 40 mosques all across the country, vocational training centre in AJK and 200 new tube wells for the most vulnerable will also be set up. He added they also built basic health units, vocational training centres and schools in the affected areas of Sindh and Punjab. He said they will support 1,100 deserving and needy people of Sindh by donating one buffalo to each family.

PRCS chairman Maj General (retd) Ch Muhammad Nawaz Khan thanked the initiative of zakat distribution to the needy and said that a list of 350,000 people has been submitted.
