Drowned in blood

KARACHI: The media gave immense coverage to the murder of one MPA but what about covering the killings of dozens of innocent, poor citizens who lost their lives following the MPA's assassination?  Many of those killed were bus drivers, push-cart vendors or people who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Then there are those who are more or less imprisoned in their homes – their homes being just beneath the Katti Pahari from where bullets are showered upon them from both sides. The rest of the country is drowning in floods while Karachi is drowning in the blood of its citizens.
