Hockey: Railways edge WAPDA to top table

KARACHI: Railways edged out Wapda 2-1 to go top of the table in the PHF Under-21 Girls Hockey Championship underway in Lahore. Mariya Sabir and Shukria Rashid scored for the winners in the first half while Fakhra halved the deficit in the 41st minute. In other matches, Punjab Board overcame Balochistan 2-1 while Punjab Whites defeated Sindh 1-0. Railways top the points table with five victories from as many matches followed by Wapda and Punjab Colours with four victories from five matches.
