Fraud allegations: Bank manager accused of stealing

FIR stated Bank Al-Falah’s branch manager deposited Rs8 million from Rs80 million and disappeared with remaining cash

FAISALABAD: A fraud case was registered on Tuesday against the manager of a private bank’s Pir Mahal branch, accusing him of taking away Rs72 million and going into hiding. The FIR stated that Syed Yaqoob Ali Shah Gilani, Bank Al-Falah’s Pir Mehal branch manager, had deposited Rs8 million of the Rs80 million at the National Bank of Pakistan’s Pir Mehal branch and disappeared with the remaining cash four days ago.
