Sher bahadur wazirani: Fire victims promised new homes, assistance

Nearly two dozen huts were gutted in a fire in the village on Saturday, in which three children died.

Kashmore deputy commissioner Munawwar Mithiyani visited the Sher Bahadur Wazirani village near Buxapur on Sunday, where he was greeted by residents chanting slogans against the district administration.


Nearly two dozen huts were gutted in a fire in the village on Saturday, in which three children died and two women were severely injured. Mithiyani gave Rs25,000 each to parents of the children who were burnt in the fire. Mithiyani told The Express Tribune that the parents will also get Rs100,000 each from the Sindh government and the Sindh Rural Support Programme will construct houses for villagers whose huts were destroyed. Food items and tents were also provided to the villagers. Haji Achar Golato, Ameeruddin Mochi, Manzoor Ali Golato and others present on the occasion said that the losses would be minimum had the fire brigades reached the spot on time.
