Chief justice to receive International Jurists Award 2012
The award, which is presented by the International Council of Jurists, is in recognition of the tireless and fearless endevours made by Justice Chaudhry towards administration of justice in the country against all odds, the press release added.
The ceremony is scheduled for May 28 in London, and the award will be presented by Rt Lord Phillips, President of Supreme Court of the United Kingdom in the presence of chief justices, law ministers, members of parliament, bar leaders, law teachers and journalists from different countries invited for the occasion.
The chief justice was also awarded The Medal of Freedom by the Harvard Law School Association in 2007.

i cant understand india always raised issue of terrorism in PAKISAN and its exports but every one here knows that majority of the office bearers of international council of jurists are from INDIA and they gave award to the biggest terrorist SUPPORTER in pakistan...STRANGE...!!!

@Ashraf Pasha: CJ is a honet man and trying to apply the law equally.that is why he got this award. You should congratulate him rather labelling him with something he does not qualify.
CJ has proved he is for Justice not for Anarchy, Zadari and Galani are not the Law. Law is Law and Law is equal for everybody. .
CJ is loosing his credability due one sided decisions on the basis of personal likings & disliking. He has to provide the justice accross the board to erase the dirt from the face of drakolas of powerfull political & non political intitutions to build the trust among masses as the past history of juduciary is questionable.

what has the chaudhry done to earn this award? from 14th feb to 26th of march - a case of contempt of court against premier was all about wasting time and resources and snatching of the justice from those who deserved more and urgently than the premier. period!

This PCO CJ who has not decided one singel case against any action of generals, ISI, extremists or the protectors of OBL would be awarded. However, at the same time there would be people protesting against the award and speakers telling the truth. The blind supporters of establishment and haters of PPP and democracy forget that there are some in Pakistan who serve the people without big salaries, extensions and perks. The shining example is Mr. and Mrs. Edhi.

I don't know if they are blind as they can't see his acquitting and freeing the SSP and LeJ terrorists such as Malik Ishaq (killer of more than 60-70 Shias) and several of his affiliates. Moreover his kinship and close association with MPA and Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah (moral and financial supporter of Shia killers and terrorists of Sipah-e-Sahab Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Jhangwi)..

Judiciary is in line to get the international awards similar to rest of institutions/personnel of our country. World has acknowledged the new pillar of power in pakistan for the sake of their intrest & would offer more awards & scholarships for the judiciary.

They does reward us but not for good things done for this country but bad ones. OSCAR award was also given on the movie against Pakistan, let the same lady and CJ do more hard work than that but both cannot get the nominations even. Wake up Pakistan.
