Targeting education: Girls’ school detonated in Charsadda

An FIR was registered against the unidentified militants by the police.

SHABQADAR: Militants planted explosives near the main gate of a government girls’ primary school in the Minavara Matta Damaan area of Shabqadar on Friday.

An FIR was registered against the unidentified militants by the police. “Around midnight, an explosion occurred which damaged the main gate and two classrooms of the school,” said a police official.

An official from the education department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) told The Express Tribune that “the number of destroyed school in Shabqadar has reached 94 with this blast.”
