BAHAWALPUR: Police have arrested 43 members of nine gangs in its anti-crime campaign in the city, Bahawalpur district police officer Ahmed Ishaq Jehangir said in a press meeting on Tuesday. He said six kidnapped people had been recovered and 14 members of six kidnappers’ gangs were arrested in the drive. They said a sum of Rs13 million and a motorcycle was recovered from those arrested. He said seven members of various terrorists groups had also been arrested for their invovlement in three terrorist attacks. He said that 18 cars, two motorcycles, one rifle and 14 pistols had been recovered while 1,600 bottles of alcohol and 159 litres of liquor seized.
