Snooker: Asif bags win in group match in Doha

Pakistan’s top-ranked cueist Muhammad Asif registered a 4-0 win against Chinese Taipei’s Liu Hao Wei.

KARACHI: Pakistan’s top-ranked cueist Muhammad Asif registered a 4-0 win against Chinese Taipei’s Liu Hao Wei in their group A match of the 28th Asian Snooker Championship currently underway in Doha, Qatar. Meanwhile, compatriot Sultan Muhammad experienced an opposite result, a 4-0 bashing at the hands of China’s Rouzi Miamiti yesterday. On Sunday, Syria’s Karam Fatima defeated Asif 4-2 and both players were 2-2 in the early stages of the match but Fatima won with frame scores of 73-12, 24-59, 59-25, 34-93, 80-10 and 55-10.
