ISLAMABAD:

Loi Bher and Bani Gala will get police stations of their own. The Islamabad chief commissioner issued an official notification in this regard here on Thursday.

Until recently, Bani Gala was being looked after by the Bhara Kahu police, while Loi Bher was under the limits of the Koral police. The new police stations are expected to take extra burden off the Koral, Shehzad Town, Bhara Kahu and Sihala police stations.

The police stations will start functioning after the allocation of respective buildings, staff members and the required equipment.  With the establishment of the new police stations, Islamabad will have a total of 18 police stations.

Meanwhile, police sources said that a separate police station in Sector G-13 is also being planned.
