Squash: Aamir cruises into next round

ISLAMABAD: Aamir Atlas Khan and Farhan Zaman won their respective matches as the main round of the 10th Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Pakistan International Squash Circuit II commenced today at the Mushaf Squash Complex. Aamir got the better of Shamsul Islam 11-6, 11-3, 11-6, while Farhan beat Mohammad Shah Nawaz 7-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-7. In other men’s matches, Danish Atlas defeated Waqar Mehboob with a 3-1 scoreline and Mansoor Zaman outclassed Kashif Khan 3-0. In the women’s matches, Nimra Shahid beat Roma Yousaf, while Amna Mehboob defeated Monisa Nasir. The tournament carries a prize-money of $10,000 for the men’s competition, while $2,000 is allocated for the women’s event.
