Rangers conduct raids in Karachi, 20 taken into custody

Targeted operations were carried out in the areas of Gulistan -e-Jauhar, Shah Faisal colony and Korangi.

KARACHI: Rangers personnel conducted raids late Wednesday night and on Thursday, taking at least 20 people into custody from different areas of Karachi.

Targeted operations were carried out in the areas of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Shah Faisal Colony and Korangi. At least nine people were arrested during raids carried out at the offices of different political parties in the Shah Faisal Colony Number 5 area.

Raids in the Korangi and Gulistan-e-Jauhar areas resulted in 12 people being taken into custody, who were transferred to an unknown location.

Arms and ammunition were also recovered during the raids.

Three teashops were earlier targeted and as a result six people were killed in drive-by shootings in the latest stream of violence in Karachi.

We are not interested in news for being captured. How did police/courts prosecuted/punished them matters more. these killers living at their homes or in police lock ups for a few days make no difference. they will be bak on streets to kill a few more
