Though wheat purchase centres have been established throughout Kashmore district, farmers of the city are still waiting for the centres to start buying the commodity as the food inspector has been removed.
According to sources, 26 wheat procurement centres have been set up in Jacobabad and Kashmore district since Monday, which have started purchasing the grain at the rate set by the government.
However, the one in Kashmore city has stayed closed in the absence of the food inspector.
Sindh Abadgar Board Secretary General for Kashmore Chapter GM Khoso alleged that Deputy Director Food of Larkana Ali Anwar Ruk was ignoring the interest of growers, who were desperately looking towards the opening of the procurement centre to sell their produce.
