Timber Found: Forest officials seize 50 logs

HARIPUR: Forest officials seized 50 illegally-felled logs on Friday evening from Khabal village across Tarbela Lake, the police said. The forest authorities also fined the accused, Amjad, Rs150,000. According to Sub Divisional Forest Officer (SDFO) Farhad Ali, his team raided a warehouse with the police in Khabal village and seized 50 logs which had been illegally chopped down from the Mansehra forest range before transportation to Haripur. The SDFO also collected the fine on the spot.
