Serena Williams is on the US Fed Cup roster for the matches against Ukraine that take place on April 21 and 22, while sister Venus is missing, according to expressbuzz.com. Venue recently returned to action after being sidelined for more than six months due to an autoimmune disease. “She just played Miami and Charleston, so she’s trying to gauge her recovery and see how much she can play,” said the US Fed Cup captain Mary Joe Fernandez. “She is, I believe, planning on playing a couple of tournaments before the French Open.” Joining Serena in the squad, picked by Fernandez, were Christina McHale, Sloane Stephens, and Liezel Huber.
