The USACA last received funding in the fourth quarter of 2011 before the ICC suspended it.
“It’s correct that the USACA have not received any 2012 grants as they don’t meet the membership criteria,” said an ICC spokesperson said via email. “Meeting all membership criteria is a funding policy requirement to receive grants. The reason they don’t meet the criteria is that there has been no AGM [Annual General Meeting].”
US fails to hold domestic tournaments
The USACA’s 2009 tax returns show that it received $392,413 from the ICC with the amount of funding to Associate countries being increased since then.
However, the failure of the US body to hold any national domestic tournaments since July 2011 and poor governance has led the ICC to suspend its funding to the Associate country altogether.
