KARACHI: A local NGO wants the Sindh High Court to help clear the city of encroachments on footpaths, unauthorised parking lots and bus terminals and make-shift push cart bazaars along the thoroughfares. In a public interest litigation filed by the United Human Rights Commission Pakistan, the petitioner maintains that before coming to the high court, it had approached and filed applications with all officials and departments concerned but no action was taken during the past five months. Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Nadeem Akhtar ordered for notices to be issued for May 2.
