234kg heroin seized in container exported from Pakistan to UK
The British police arrested two suspected dealers and took them to an undisclosed location where initial investigations led to the arrest of seven other suspects from different parts of Faisalabad.
Further investigations are underway.
Authorities were puzzled over how the smuggling was taking place.
Involvement of government officials is suspected by authorities who were baffled by the smuggling due to its immense quantity.
The container was sent from a small industrial estate, but the name of the firm is yet to be disclosed by authorities as they suspect that those involved will go into hiding.

Please is there anyone in pakistan that is not just a patriot by slogans but by their actions as well, I need the media to start shedding light on the more optimistic events occurring around the nation. There is constant negativity coming from my beautiful homeland ! We are not children of scoundrels and thieves.
Hang them? What about hanging the British export of war upon us as routed through the NATO and the Bush-Obama administrations? Clearly, a 245 kg of heroin isn't that much of a deal considering how much we have lost under the pretext of 'war on terror' and it's consequences for the people of Pakistan.
Lynch them? What world are you living in? Your thought and suggestion did more violence on this page then the actions of the drug suppliers.
If anything the people caught in this network will only be the working class under paid people, while the ones who're actually benefiting from this trade will go unhinged from their profit motives. And I won't be surprised if bureaucracies of both nations are caught behind this drug trade.

@Billoo Bhaya: If not from this part of the developing world, the heroin will enter the UK from another part of the 3 rd World- after all Afghanistan is the number 1 source of heroin and Mexico is the number 1 source of illegal drugs in the US. Until people in the West control the issue of drug addiction among their own citizens, drug smuggling won't be stopped. The Mexican president always makes a point of saying this when US authorities complain about drugs coming from Mexico.
Nothing new or alarming, this happens all the time. Containerisation has changed the way global trade functions but one of its drawbacks is the ease with which smugglers mis-use it. Like any other crime it needs to be strictly checked.
The UK govt must impose fine on Pakistan for allowing/conniving in the export of heroin. This fine should be waived off if the Pak authorities arrest and punish the exporters (trial etc to be verified by UK authorities).

Why would they not have gone into hiding after learning of the amount of drugs seized? How many other containers full of that amount of drugs are being sent?
Hang these people!!! Better still. Take them to Sialkot and give them to local police, who can arrange another lynching.
