Residents of the area told The Express Tribune that one of the students studied in fifth grade while the other two, Habib and Ahmad, were students of eighth grade. They committed suicide in the Manyal and Kumbarh areas of Tehsil Maidan.
The residents added that all the schools in Lower Dir announced their annual result on March 31st. After finding out that they had failed, the three boys gulped a potent poison. They were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital Timergara where the doctors pronounced them dead.

Honestly this is a feeling i have personally experienced. The excruciating pressure from our parents or teachers or the society all are reasons for such a disturbing behavior. In my view the root cause needs to be counselled and later the children. Probably our media can help by identifying who initiates suicide being a solution and also by creating awareness of the fact that its okay to fail as long the mistake is learnt and avoided later. We all being part of this society should look into these issues and see how can we make a difference for our generation.

OMG !!! This is such a terrible news. Students definitely need counseling and which could be provided by teachers or parents . In case case kids were so disheartened / afraid that they had no other option except to end life . This is very tragic and moment of shock for our nation that smalls kids are attempting such things . Something needs to be done.
This is tragic and it shows that there is no system of guidance and counselling for our children. Obviously they must be worried about the reaction of their families following their failure to pass exams. We'll have to change our attititudes towards children and give them support and guidance otherwise they will meet the same fate. Teachers and parents both have to play an important role. Besides NGOs and Media can play a role to create awareness in the society.
investigation should be carried out as to why children of such young age ever thought of committing suicide.
