They urged the armed forces to support them.

KARACHI: Members of the Mohajir Sooba Tehreek staged a demonstration on Tuesday at Liaquatabad in favour of a separate province. They urged the armed forces to support them. They came prepared with leaflets and banners and said that a separate province was the only solution. Unnamed leaders made a telephonic address to say that Mohajirs were not being given their rights and that the Sindhi-speaking chief minister was not capable of addressing the problems of Karachi. The protest caused a massive traffic jam and a heavy contingent of law enforcers was deployed. Meanwhile, the Central Police Office has issued a sketch of a suspect involved in sending threatening letters to MPAs who protested against the creation of a Mohajir province.
