KARACHI:

The Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) Karachi announced on Tuesday that it will organise an Inqlab-e-Nizam-e-Mustafa conference at Nishtar Park on May 20, to mobilise people to deal with the country’s problems.

JUP Sindh will organise rallies and conduct meetings with other religious and political parties from April 9 to 26.

The party’s Karachi nazim, Shabir Abu Talib, and other party leaders expressed concerns over law and order situation in the city at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, and pointed out that the government was not serious about finding a permanent solution. “The unrest has made people mentally ill and it seems that the investors are forced deliberately to shift their businesses to other countries. Peaceful people and areas are being targeted and operations are conducted on the wishes of a coalition partner,” said Talib.

While criticising Pakistan’s foreign policy, the JUP leader said that while the public is against the resumption of NATO supply routes, the government is going in the opposite direction.

“India is a traditional enemy of Pakistan, but the rulers are giving it the title of Most-Favoured Nation,” he alleged.
