FAISALABAD: Dozens of power loom workers staged a demonstration on Friday in protest against the arrest of three workers allegedly for vandalising public property during a protest rally over power outages. The rally started from Lakkar Mandi from where the protesters marched towards Faisalabad-Jhang Road. They staged a sit-in on the road, blocking it for traffic for several hours. The protesters demanded immediate release of Tariq, Talib and another colleague and withdrawal of cases against several other loom workers. The protest was suspended after negotiations with DSP Kotwali Ameen Bhatti.
