Punjab police blame uniform for their ‘grumpiness’
Inspector General of Punjab Police Haji Habeebur Rehman told the media on Wednesday that it was the dark uniform which makes them ‘grumpy’.
This colour absorbs more heat and that is why the police are twice as hot-headed, Rehman told the media during a press conference at Rahim Yar Khan District Police Office (DPO).
The police have therefore decided to change the colour of the uniform, Rehman further said.

I also vry disappointed with our polite pepoles they dont know about police and comentd on police with bad words am a constable in panjab police and i think we are the best in our duty . A civilian never knows that hows we done our along with many problems day or nite summer winter . . . I want to say that we are friends of our pepoles dont hate us its an also request
Pak police uniform is not what a police uniform should look like. Two different colors make them look more like postal workers then men of the law. Pak motorway police uniform makes the police look much smarter as it is one toned color. Even Afghanistan’s police uniforms looks like an actual uniform. Please change the hideous outdated colors and give the Pak police a more professional look as well as new training with set standards. Maybe British and German police should provide assistance and help Pakistan to create a more effective new police force.

it is just game of contracts and commissions. imagine 2 lacs police force and if each police wala requires two uniforms then 16 metre for each required. so it 32 lacs metre. meaning it will be in billions. just wastage of resource. nothing will happen. if the police culture is to be changed ensure meritocracy.

Who's getting the contract to supply the uniforms??
After changing the uniform color, try to change the attitude also. The basic training of recruits need complete overhauling as the existing training has flaws. There must be strict check on corruption from bottom to top level. The time has come to bring a soft image of Policeman in society.

The whole uniform of Pakistani police is the most useless, as well as the style of their Uniform. Due to their own wrong doings, no one respect Police and this Uniform make them more ordinary police. If the Chief is going to change the color, I would suggest please to change the design, style and over all look of the Uniform as well. Chief should realize that Uniform doesn't mean to wear a Cap or trouser but also some local dresses turned into Uniform. Also, there must be strict action for neat and tidy uniform, with the badges etc to earn little more respect from the people along with the rectification of behavior.
