Mutual cooperation: Governor welcomes Indian delegation

LAHORE: A delegation of Indian parliamentarians as well as members of the business community called on Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa on Sunday and discussed measures to enhance ties and cooperation between Pakistan and India. The meeting was held at the Governor’s House. Canadian parliamentarians of Indian origin were also a part of the delegation. PPP Secretary General Jahangir Badar received the delegation with the governor. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Khosa said that the recent visit of Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Meera Kumar and Commerce Minister Anand Sharma had improved relations between the two countries. “The leaderships of both countries agree in principle that the outstanding issues between the countries should be resolved through dialogue,” he said. Khosa stressed the need for exchange of trade delegations between Pakistan and India for economic progress in the region as well as improving travel conditions for the people on both sides of the border.
