Addressing the Islam Zindabad Conference in Peshawar, he said that it was “tragic” to see that parliamentary resolutions have not been implemented. The JUI-F leader said that the amount of money spent on education and health in a year is less than what is “being spent on the armed forces in a day”.
Hinting at the armed forces, he said, “We do not want deductions in anyone’s budget, but why should a common man remain deprived of basic rights like education and health?”
“When we were in power in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, we had allocated Rs300-350 million for education. We provided free education and free health facilities to people. If JUI-F can spend so much on education and health, we will spend more if we govern Pakistan.”
Government attacked
The JUI-F chief said that many governments came to an end due to rampant corruption, but corruption itself never ended in Pakistan.
Fazl said that Pakistan was made as a result of promises and dreams. He said people still waited for the “realisation of those dreams and the fulfillment of those promises”.
While the participants chanted an altered version of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) slogan, zinda hai Jamiat, zinda hai (Jamiat is alive), Fazl said, “We have witnessed the slogans of roti, kapra aur makaan (food, clothing and shelter), but the poor are still waiting for the government’s promises to be fulfilled.”
Fazl said, “Shouting slogans and making promises will not help this country. Corruption and inflation will prevail and keep increasing if the budget is not devised properly.”
He said that currently, Pakistan neither has an economic policy nor a foreign policy.
JUI’F’s manifesto based on Quran, Sunnah
Fazl said that his party’s manifesto was set on the principles of Quran and Sunnah and prosperity cannot be achieved until and unless sharia is implemented in the country.
“[Jamiat-e-Ulema] JUI-F keeps reiterating that we have to repeat what our prophets did. You cannot appease the famers and labourers until you follow the sharia.”

MaaLana Faz-Lul Rehman seems to be quite happy today.
Revolting character that gives a bad name to everything he's associated with
this mr fazul think that we are fools!
Shameless face of Pakistani politician.
It's the things he's not saying that make that speech a lot more negative than it sounds. e.g. "We provided free education and free health facilities to people." The details of that venture would probably take a dive off the deep end when the details of the workings of that were mentioned. That man is the sort that you need to look at through their motivations behind their claims, rather than the claims themselves, to really judge.
isn't he handsome? Doesn't he make your heart go pitter-pat to think that these are the "leaders' of this blighted country?
maybe we should elect him the PM? Or President?
Once again the cunning Moulana is out to use the opposition parties for his personal advantage. At the end of the day he will do whatever Zardari will tell him to do but in the process he will also extract the right price for his support.
@usmanx: "uhhh… you are part of the establishment…. you sit in parliament sir."
In Pakistan it is the army and ISI which is described as 'Establishment'.
Maulana, fight with number of votes in elections against leading parties. And test the waters without the support of your very 'Establishment'. But, you know this way to will lose whatever you have earned in Mullah-Military Alliance.
Maulana is a sharp politician, he is trying to extract as much as he can in the present anti-military wave in country. Nice strategy!
Maulana seems to have no more expectation from establishment or establishment has nothing to offer him. Maulana will flip flop but his aim is on prize, either power or money.
@Ch Allah Daad: Sorry disagree. He is the one who joined hands with anyone and everyone to be in Power and plays state politics to get 'his' version of Islam implemented alone and owns significant amounts of illegitimate land; so by definition he is much bigger of a hypocrite than anyone else.
if at all he has to quote there is proper forum "PARLIAMENT" where there are times; he opt to be away in neighbourhood in the high palace.!
His figures about budget allocation on defence, education and health are correct. It needs lot of guts to say these things. He is not a hypocrat, therefore better than Imran.
Maulana, whatever you are saying is actually a writing on the wall. I hope you are not taking this position just to crack a better deal with the establishment, Let me be an optimist this time around as it looks like the establishment has abandoned you for a new darling in the shape of IK and you will have to continue to take this anti-establishment gesture. Lets see what change IK-MQM-JI n establishment can bring in. Oooooops, I mean a "change" to maintain the status quo.
Why are people making so many snyde remark against Maulana's past relationship with army/establishment? May be he is a changed man! If a former playboy can become 'pious' and 'most honest' army backed maulana/politician, then why can't a former JUI’F’s Maulana change and become anti-establishment politician?
Maulana, does this mean the Army will now take back the lands gifted to you during Musharraf's time in exchange for your consent on LFO? We will believe that you are trying to reduce the civil-military divide when you return that piece of land and all other benefits you received during your duplicitous dealings with the military.
KPK made its decision in favor of JUI.JUI made history by organising such huge and huge gathering.Carry on JUI it to remaing Pakistan.
lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... hes funny
Moulana statement against establishment :D yeh din bhi aana tha
The man who played his whole politics on establishment's payroll is speaking against them, lol
Maulana is basically part of establishment. . When he says that they get out of his way, he actually means to go overboard in his support like they have been getting in the past. . Maulana cannot thrive with level playing field!!
Get out of my way Or give me the dollars too Or talk to my masters in Saudi
uhhh... you are part of the establishment.... you sit in parliament sir.
this is called flood of people.a huge gathering ever witnessed Peshwar city.KPK made decision in favor of Mualana.Well done JUI KPK AND CONGRATE.
