Targeted Attack: MQM-H activist gunned down

A man identified as 35-year-old Tahir was shot dead on M A Jinnah Road near Taj Complex.

A man identified as 35-year-old Tahir was shot dead on M A Jinnah Road near Taj Complex on Saturday, said the Brigade police.


Tahir was an activist of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H). The police claim that he was attacked by unidentified suspects on a motorcycle. The body was taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi. According to DSP Ghulam Murtaza Malik, Tahir used to work as an accountant for a private firm. MQM-H leader Khalid Hameed said that Tahir was an active worker of Landhi unit 81 and lived in Bahadurabad. Hameed added that Tahir was on his way home after donating blood to an activist who was injured earlier in the day.
