Cricket: Faysal Bank T20 event to kick off on March 25

A total of eight teams divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, will be participating in the event.

Continuing with their contract to sponsor domestic cricket, Faysal Bank will now be collaborating with the PCB to organise the upcoming Super Eight T20 Tournament, scheduled to commence from March 25.

A total of eight teams divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, will be participating in the event. Group A includes Faisalabad Wolves, Peshawar Panthers, Karachi Zebras and Lahore Lions whereas Group B features Lahore Eagles, Sialkot Stallions, Rawalpindi Rams and Karachi Dolphins. Faysal Bank head of retail banking Aarij Ali reiterated the bank’s commitment to cricket. “The talent on the ground will go on to represent us in the world,” said Ali.

we need to make a professional cricket league with home and away matches and have city teams rather than franchise teams like WAPDA and PIA to determine the champion of the national league with it having every year. Also, with the league we should have this kind of knockout tournaments as well. PCB should really look into this as this will grow popularity as well as revenues for the PCB as everyone will get behind their respective cities and come to watch the beautiful game of cricket.
