Workshop on Dengue: ‘Poor teamwork can lead to more risk’

ISLAMABAD: Poor teamwork between the civic bodies in Rawalpindi and Islamabad could lead to a number of areas becoming “conducive” breeding spots for mosquitoes. This was said by Junaid Iqbal Chaudhry, former secretary of the Capital Administration and Development Division, at the closing ceremony of a four-day workshop in Polyclinic Hospital on Thursday. Iqbal feared that some breeding spots of mosquitoes might be missed, as these areas lie at the border of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. About 35 doctors from various hospitals of the twin cities were trained in the workshop, to better handle dengue. The workshop was organised with help from the World Health Organization.
