Polio Campaign: President orders implementation

Says polio eradication is among the top priorities of the government.

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that polio eradication was among the top priorities of the government in the health sector. He added that he had himself written letters to all the governors and chief ministers recently urging them to personally oversee the eradication campaign and programme in order to ensure its effective implementation. The president stated this during meeting with Dr Robert S. Scott, Chair of Rotary’s International Polio Plus Committee, at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
