ISLAMABAD: Following the Opposition’s voiced resistance towards a set of proposals made by the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) on redrawing relations with the US, the Federal Cabinet may yet make a few changes before the session reconvenes on Monday.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani taking note of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz led Oppostion’s resistance, has called for a special meeting of his Cabinet on Thursday.

A Prime Minister Secretariat official said that PCNS head Senator Raza Rabbani would be briefing the Cabinet over the proposals he put before the Parliament on Tuesday. The Cabinet, after due deliberation, may make changes to Rabbani’s draft to make it more acceptable.

The Parliament is due to reconvene on Monday for three days of deliberations on the proposals.
