PTI rejects PCNS report aimed at reordering ties with US
PTI rejected the document as a “farce” and an insult to the wishes of the people to extricate themselves from US-backed war on terror which has become a “war on terror for Pakistanis,” said a statement issued by the party’s International Affairs Advisor, Dr Shireen Mazari.
PTI will not accept any compromise on the issue of drone strikes and resumption of Nato supplies, added the statement.
Leader of the Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had also snubbed the report, saying that it had nothing "extraordinary" in it as the ideas it is upholding have always been everyone’s voice.
He had said that every government starts its reign with the same words.
Nisar had added that there was no point in drafting new policy terms as the government, as always, will fail to implement the recommendations.
The parliamentary panel had proposed that at least 50% of Nato containers travelling through Pakistan be handled through Pakistan Railways.
The recommendations further said that Pakistan should demand an unconditional apology from the US for the November 26, 2011 air attack on the Salala check post. It added that Washington should put a stop to drone strikes in tribal areas.

So let's assume for the sake of argument that the drone attacks cease. Then what? It's a bit naive to expect that the murderous Mehsuds will suddenly stop spreading mayhem. The militants will use the respite to regroup, rearm, and then resume their indiscriminate attacks on innocent Pakistani civilians in crowded marketplaces. When that happens, what will PTI do to fix things? Far better to keep sending drones until no religious extremists exist to do any more harm to Pakistan (or to anyone else for that matter).
we must understand that this is totally against the will of people. by accepting such reports and suggestions we are clearly handing over our own sovereignty..the recomendation clearly mentions that Pakistan will charge this much money and this much transaction shall be made through railways. i mean isn't it surrendering our identity and sovernegnty in advance? in what capacity can they decide such things without even asking people? on one hand they are telling us that we have BLOCKED NATO supplies. and on another hand they have already drafted what they are going to do with nato supplies. isn't it hypocrsy at its best? and Nawaz League argues that they are not involved in anything but let me remind you that the recommendation committe was headed by Mr. Ishaq Dar and the draftsman is Mr.Dar himself (he confessed last night in Islamabad tonight talk show with nadeem malik )

PTI is right. This is just topi drama. As Tariq Fatmi said on Hamid Mir how the PIR PM said to US ambassdor "Plz dont get upset, I will make a speech against drones in parliament". They continue to fool the jahil awam.

Wake up - Pakistan has withdrawn from the WOT and what has it accomplished? Pakistan is as violent as ever. The mantra that all your troubles would go away when you abandoned the WOT is absurd - with the exception of corruption your current govt has already implemented most of PTI's vaunted recommendations and it has yielded zip.

Though anyone who tries to separate Pakistan from the war by disassociation and bad reasoning is plainly a fool. By the way, you basically just said that your fellow Pakistani's lives are worthless as regardless of what lead up to it, you'd rather side with their killers than consider it legitimate reason to deal with their killers yourselves. I see Pakistanis acting as though they actually care about selective deaths but there's never action. Were it sincere, people would have to hold others back from slaughtering the killers. My dear honourable PTI leaders . . . the $$s are beckoning our iconic parliamentarians . . . it is hard to resist. We are a frontier state . . . and are expected to be on sale to the highest bidder.

PTI? In what capacity PTI is representing people of Pakistan? As per the Constitution of Pakistan its the Parliament that represents the people of Pakistan not any XYZ party.
PTI is only party which can deal fairly and independently with United States. Because Imran Khan is the leader of Pakistan. Not a slave of America like all the status quo leaders
Irrespective of your party affiliation, this report is tantamount to accepting slavery in written form and legitimization of the war on terror. The document goes completely against the aspirations of the dominant majority of Pakistan and hence cannot be foreign policy of a sovereign state.
