Workshop: Students urged to focus on research

VC was speaking at a five-day research methodology workshop which started a day ago on Monday.

MULTAN: Bahauddin Zakariya University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khawaja Alqama on Tuesday pressed upon students to focus on research work in their respective disciplines to build upon the knowledge transferred to them in classrooms. He was speaking at a five-day research methodology workshop which started a day ago on Monday. He referred to the works of Muslim scientists and scholars and said that these should be provide inspiration to contemporary Muslim academics and scientists. The vice chancellor said the western academics had benefited from the work of Mulsim scholars in conducting research in social and natural sciences. The five-day workshop is organised jointly by the Islamic Studies Department and the Directorate of Quality Enhancement.
